Analyse Edge Length

Select the Ruler tool png and choose:

LENGTH OF AN EDGE

Click on a Primal, Dual or Spaceframe edge. The length data is listed in the log.

The angle psi 'ψ' is the angle between the cicked Edge and the Hub Plane. This gives the bend angles for the strut ends, which facilitates bolting to hubs (as in simple bolt-hub mechanisms). The bend angles 'ψ' for Org and Dest are computed when creating an Isolate Vertex Set. If the isolate set for the vertices has not been created first, the bend angles will be zero. The Edge label is set when creating an Isolate Edge Set. If the isolate set for edges has not been created first, the Edge label wil be '?'

NOTE: Bend angles are only implemented in Geodesica-SFX-0-9-9-9p and later.
