Because the MesaGL version does not support multi-sampling (anti-aliasing), some
screen artefacts occur when rendering star-flange hubs; specifically, joints
between the flanges appear misaligned; however, the geometry is correct and
this is purely a rendering issue; the artefacts vanish when the camera moves
into the scene.
