The Wave Supressor UI can limit the generated waveform to designated sectors of the profile. Each sector of the profile is represented by a bezier curve. Drag on the anchor/control points to adjust supressor amplitude. (Anchor points can only move up and down; the first and last anchor points move together). The Wave Supressor operates on individual layers for both Stacks and Slices.
This allows the creation of complex realistic forms:
Note: no “bump mapping” or texture was applied – all deformations are created in the actual mesh by supressing the generated waveforms.
Stacks: Layer 1.
Stacks: Layers 1 + 2.
Stacks: Layers 1 + 2, & Slices: Layer 1.
If the supressor has no effect then either the generator amplitude is zero or the supressor strength is zero.
